2022 HKSSPC Overseas Competition – ISIF 2022

Jointly organized by The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, the Education Bureau ,the Hong Kong Science Museum and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, and supported by the Innovation and Technology Commission. The Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition (HKSSPC) 2022 sent 9 representative teams to join the International Science and Invention Fair (ISIF) 2022 organized by the Indonesia Young Scientist Association (IYSA) from 1 to 4 November. HKSSPC 2023 Briefing Session

HKSSPC 2023 Briefing Session was held online on 1st November 2022 (Tue). Apart from introducing the details of the competition, we had invited Prof. CHIU Siu Wai, Honorary Senior Research Fellow from School of Life Sciences and Honorary Senior College Tutor of Chung Chi College from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, to share the strategy in doing a great science research project, experienced supervisor and winning teams also shared their experience and takeaways in HKSSPC. HKSSPC 2023 Basics of Research & Literature Review Seminar

The Basics of Research & Literature Review Seminar was held on 2nd December (Fri) from 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm, we have invited Prof. LAM Hon Ming from the School of Life Sciences of The Chinese University of Hong Kong to be the speaker, he shared with the participants about the importance of literature review and his scientific research journey.

HKSSPC 2023 Sharing Session with Advisors

The Sharing Session with Advisors was held on 19 Jan 2023 (Thur) in Hong Kong Science Museum. The organizers have invited 13 advisors from different universities and institutes (Listed below) to share with the 85 participants their science knowledge and experience on scientific research, as well as answer any queries the teams had in their projects. HKSSPC 2023 Announcement of Results

HKSSPC 2023 Final Judging cum Awards Presentation Ceremony successfully concluded yesterday, with lots of teachers, students and public participating in this annual event in person or through live streaming. The Guest of Honour, Jeff SZE Chun Fai, JP, Acting Secretary for Education, delivered a speech at the ceremony and presented awards to the winning teams. The 20 finalists were highly appreciated and recognised by the judges. All awards were announced at the Awards Presentation Ceremony. The Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition 2023 will hold the “Winning Projects Exhibition” at the Hong Kong Science Museum on May 6 (Sat). We have invited nine winning teams to introduce their winning inventions and scientific research in person. The public is welcome to participate and appreciate the scientific research achievements of the winning teams. HKSSPC 2023 Overseas Competition – INSPO 2023

The Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition (HKSSPC) 2023 sent 4 representative teams to join the International Science Project Olympiad (INSPO) 2023 organized by the Bargem of Okyanus Colleges since 2014. The competition started from 9 to 12 June 2023. The teams competed with 65 overseas teams from different countries and region for the highest glory of the science fair.
