HKSSPC2020 – Presentation Skills Workshop

The Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition (HKSSPC) 2020 Presentation Skills Workshop was successfully held in Hong Kong Science Park on 21 December 2019. The organizers invited Ms. Olivia Tsang from The Department of Communication Studies, Hong Kong Baptist University to be the Guest Speaker, to talk about presentation skills.  Participants learned different skills and applied in practice, showed enthusiasm and creativity. It is believed that all participants gained a lot from the workshop, we hope that students do not only apply the skills on competition, but also in daily life.  Students can also download the workshop powerpoint for reference.

Due to the recent social situation, the secretariat of HKSSPC would like to give more time for teams to prepare for the application, the deadline for Project Nomination to HKSSPC 2020 is extended to 23:59 on 29 November 2019 (Fri). Interested teachers and students please be reminded to submit the application online on or before the deadline.

HKSSPC 2020 – Briefing Session

The Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition (HKSSPC) 2020 was kick-started with a briefing session on October 23 at the Hong Kong Science Museum. The organizers invited Professor Chan Ho Yin from the school of Life Science of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, who was the head judge of 2019 competition, and experienced Teacher Guide Mr. Cheng Tak-chi from Po Leung Kuk Wu Chung College to the briefing. HKSSPC 2019 Overseas Competition – KSEF 2019

Jointly organized by The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, the Education Bureau and the Hong Kong Science Museum, and supported by the Innovation and Technology Commission and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition (HKSSPC) 2019 sent 4 representative teams to join the Korea Science and Engineering Fair 2019 from 17 to 22 October. HKSSPC 2019 Singapore Exchange Tour

From 5 to 9 August 2019, four winning teams, comprising 20 students and teachers, were sponsored to a Singapore exchange programme. They visited Nanyang Technological University, Hwa Chong Institution, ArtScience Museum, Singapore Science Museum and Canopy Walk etc. Students were also able to exchange ideas with local students in Hwa Chong. Through these exchanges, the students were able to broaden their global vision and understand the most updated scientific development in Singapore.

HKSSPC 2019 Overseas Competition – GENIUS Olympiad 2019

2 winning teams from the Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition 2019 are nominated to participate the GENIUS Olympiad in New York, United States, and competed with around 1400 participants from nearly 75 countries. The Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition (HKSSPC) 2019, was jointly organized by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, the Education Bureau and the Hong Kong Science Museum, and sponsored by the Innovation and Technology Commission as well as Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation.
