HKSSPC 2023 Final Judging cum Awards Presentation Ceremony successfully concluded yesterday, with lots of teachers, students and public participating in this annual event in person or through live streaming. The Guest of Honour, Jeff SZE Chun Fai, JP, Acting Secretary for Education, delivered a speech at the ceremony and presented awards to the winning teams. The 20 finalists were highly appreciated and recognised by the judges. All awards were announced at the Awards Presentation Ceremony.
For the Junior Division, the team from Chinese Foundation Secondary School won with “Upcycling of Abandoned” in the Invention subcategory, while the team form Heep Yunn School took home the prize in the Investigation category with their work, “SeaUVeed Succeed”.
For the Senior Division, the team from LKWFSL Lau Wong Fat Secondary School was the Champion in the Invention subcategory with their work, “A Transparent and Biodegradable Mask Filter”, while the Investigation champions came from King’s College through their study on, “AgNPs and Natural dye-sensitized TiO2 NPs-catalyzed photo-oxidation in food waste treatment and its potential application in H2 production enhanced by Venturi effect”.
