From 22 to 27 August 2016, the four Champion teams, comprising 20 students and teachers, were sponsored to a Korea exchange programme. They visited Seoul National University, Hyundai Motor Ulsan Plant, Ulsan Hyundai Heavy Industries and Gwacheon National Science Museum, etc. Students were also able to exchange ideas with local students in Seoul National University. Through these exchanges, the students were able to broaden their global vision and understand the most updated breakthrough in scientific research in Korea.
The teams "Smart "Mobile" Car" from Christian & Missionary Alliance Sun Kei Secondary School, "An Investigation on Auto-catalytic HCO3-promoted Dye-sensitized Metal Ion-doped Iron(III) Oxide Induced Photocatalytic Watersplitting for Hydrogen Production" from King's College and "Microscopic-bubbles Magic" from St. Paul's Co-educational College were selected to participate in the I-SWEEEP 2016 in the USA held from 26 April to 1 May. After presenting the projects and attending the Q&A session, Christian & Missionary Alliance Sun Kei Secondary School won the Bronze Award (Engineering) and the Special Award by ATAST, while both King's College and St. Paul's Co-educational College won the Silver Award (Engineering).
